Mt Osmond | Adelaide | South Australia
With Father's day just around the corner and Camille well on her way to becoming a mum of three, I was contacted to capture this super special time in the life of this adorable and very special family.
Mount Osmond was the chosen location. Just east of Adelaide, this spectacular spot provides panoramic views of the great but little city all the way to the ocean. On this particular day the rain had set in early, not heavy, but enough to put anyone off an outdoor photo shoot. As I made the 45min or so journey the rain came and went, it backed off for a while but the good old radar assured me that the worse was still to come and our window was short.
At the meeting point I was greeted by an enthusiastic Camille, a totally chilled and genuine Daniel, and two adorable little girls wrapped up in warm furry coats.
"How will we go with the weather do you think?", I was asked by an unsure Camille.
"The worse the weather the better the photo's", I reassured her, whilst at the same time being slightly worried we may have just a few minutes before that rain band edges too close. A re-shoot or re-booking was definitely on the cards.
A short walk and a glorious view later, I found myself snapping for my life. I had a handful of maternity portraits but nothing of the family... and here comes the rain. We made it back to a thick tree line just near our cars where the rain found it difficult to penetrate through the leaves... a new photo location was upon us.
Some warm family cuddles, a few funny faces and some hide and sneak between the trees made for some wonderful shots. And when it started to get a little too damp, some fairy lights were on hand to capture the imagination of two chilly little ones. At the end of the shoot I had all that I needed, a bit of an adventure never goes astray.
