How long does a photoshoot last?

Weddings: As long as you like (if you choose my unlimited hours package) otherwise I have shorter 10, 8 hour and 5 hour package options.

Family / Engagement / Couples: I normally schedule a shoot for 1 hour.

We aren’t models and aren’t very comfortable in front of a camera, is that ok?

I get this question A LOT. I don’t think I’ve ever photographed an actual trained professional model. I work with real people all the time, I don’t expect you to roll up and just start striking winning poses Zoolander stylez. I’d actually prefer to offer basic guidance having you focussing on each other or your family, your natural expressions and emotions will come from there.

Are you LGBTQI+ Friendly?

YAAS! As long as you’re getting married to the love of your life, you can count me in.

How many photo's will we receive?  

Weddings: 600+ for weddings **For unlimited hour bookings** Less if you reduce the number of hours you book me for, it’s just science. But seriously, I don’t limit the number of delivered photographs, so rest assured you’ll get an awesome curated set which isn’t too overwhelming and is the perfect record of your day.

Couples/families/engagement shoots: 40+

How long does it take to get my gallery?

Wedding galleries In the first week following your wedding you will receive a sneak peek gallery with around 20 photographs from your day.

Full galleries are typically delivered within 4 - 12 weeks depending on the time of year.

Family/couple and engagement shoots Within 2 - 4 weeks.

How much ‘photoshopping’ can I get you to do?

All delivered photographs are professionally edited for colour, tone, cropping and basic retouching if required, like removing non-permanent marks such as obvious scratches, dirt, pimples or bugs.

Extensive re-touching like thinning people or removing or adding whole people isn’t something that’s included as this is very labour intensive. If you think you’ll need some extensive re-touching this is available on request and quoted separately per hour.

Can I see ALL the photo's you took?

I do not deliver RAW (unedited files) and they are not available for viewing.

Do I need to give you a list of photographs I want?

I’ve been doing this a while (about 8 years between videography and photography) so I generally know how a wedding day runs and what to capture. I’d love if you trust me with the creative freedom to capture the details in my own style. I always consult my couples on any special people or out of the norm wedding festivities or details you may have included which I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for. Do you have any suggestions for what to wear to my engagement, couples, or family shoot?

Totally, I want you to be yourself, wear whatever makes you comfortable, after that here’s my advice for best results;

Do’s

Neutral colours like white/grey/beige always work well. A few pops of colour here and there are great. Earthy tones like mustards, burgundy, dark green bring a bold look to almost any location. Alternatively you could go for a softer look with pastel colours. If you want to look a bit casual, awesome, jeans or chinos for the men and plain t-shirt works great. For the girls, jeans, nice dress etc. In winter you may like to layer with scarves and jackets. In summer a textured dress or light layers work great.

Dont’s

Try and consider where we will be doing your shoot, if we are at the beach for example, maybe stay away from too much blue, it’ll stop you blending in to the ocean, similar for gardens or forests, try to steer clear of your main colour pallet being too much green and brown although pops of these colours will sample the environment well.

I also recommend staying away from any clothing with saying’s, logo’s, or cartoons.
